Originally developed for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Israeli Krav Maga was designed to rapidly prepare soldiers for real-world hand-to-hand combat. Since 1948, it has served as the IDF’s official self-defense and close-quarters combat system.


Israeli Krav Maga emphasizes practical and efficient techniques, enabling military personnel to neutralize threats quickly under high-stress conditions. Training includes terminal force applications and the integration of personal weapons, edged weapons, and firearms. The curriculum also incorporates firearms handling, tactical movement, situational response, and counter-terrorism strategies.


For military law enforcement personnel, Israeli Krav Maga offers dual capabilities—combining defensive tactics and terminal force options to meet the demands of both policing and combat operations.
